Health anxiety
Persistent worry about your health, which examinations and results don't settle for long.
How it shows up
Checking your body, searching online, repeated visits to the doctor. A negative result brings relief for a few days, then the doubt grows again.
What we do with it in therapy
We work with the cycle of checking and reassurance, not with convincing you that you’re healthy — that has been tried and didn’t work. A necessary condition is that physical causes have been properly examined.
