Family calendar

A shared overview of the week, visible to everyone — it removes most arguments about who knew what.

What it’s for

A large part of tension in families isn’t about values but about coordination. A shared calendar removes that tension without anything having to be resolved.

How it goes

  1. One single shared version — on the fridge or in the phone, not both.
  2. Colours by person, not by type of activity.
  3. Include the adults’ commitments too, not only the children’s.
  4. Five minutes on Sundays to look over the week. That is the essential part.

Does some of this sound familiar?

An explanation is one thing, the experience another. If you'd like to talk it through with someone, write to me.

This is what insomnia taught me. What has it taught you? Traumatic experiences can leave you weakened — on recovery and strength. On the worries that drain our energy. On why differentiation matters in relationships. Self-confidence starts with self-awareness. On how hard it is to start — and harder still to keep going.
