What it’s for

Holidays carry expectations, memories and relatives. Without an agreement the same tension repeats every year, with the child in the middle.

What it contains

  1. The split, by year or by day — written down two years ahead.
  2. Handover time and place.
  3. Presents: who buys what, so it doesn’t become a competition.
  4. Relatives: when the child sees which grandparents.
  5. What stays the same — at least one ritual the child knows from before.

Does some of this sound familiar?

An explanation is one thing, the experience another. If you'd like to talk it through with someone, write to me.

This is what insomnia taught me. What has it taught you? Traumatic experiences can leave you weakened — on recovery and strength. On the worries that drain our energy. On why differentiation matters in relationships. Self-confidence starts with self-awareness. On how hard it is to start — and harder still to keep going.
